Plus tôt, Mme Gao Rongrong a été envoyée dans un camp de travaux forcés, où les
gardiens l'ont torturée souvent en lui brûlant le visage avec des matraques
électriques le 7 mai 2004. Son état a été devenu connu à travers le monde. Le 5
octobre 2004, une aimable personne a aidé Mme Gao Rongrong à s'évader de
l'hôpital pendant qu'elle était sous arrestation.
Cependant
le 3 mai 2005, Mme Gao Rongrong a été arrêtée à nouveau par les policiers.
Avant que Rongrong ne meure, les policiers du camp de travaux forcés de
Zhangshi, de la ville de Shenyang, le camp de travaux forcés de Masanjia, le
Bureau de la magistrature et le bureau des travaux forcés de la province du
Liaoning, ont dit à sa famille, d'une manière similaire : « C'est
correct. Si quelqu'un tue Gao Rongrong, que cette personne soit attrapée et
punie. Ne gaspillez pas votre temps à venir. Retournez à la maison et attendez.
Nous n'avons encore rien entendu de la part de nos hautes autorités. Mme Gao
Rongrong ira bien. » Mme Gao Rongrong, à peine âgée de 37 ans, est décédée
pendant qu'elle était sous la garde d'agents du PCC, le 16 juin 2005.
